This was always going to be a close game and it turned into a thriller. The tigers started strongly and moved the ball well (testament to Peter Barters hard work with the lads on the training ground) but with two competitive adults at the back and some skillful youngsters up front it was it was certainly not one way traffic, with the Tigers defense were continually being tested on the break.Tigers did have opportunities but were unable to convert so went in nil-nil at half time. The Tigers came out and played some of their best hockey of the season and spaces started to appear in a tiring Eastbourne side, bringing a stunning strike from Alex Michell to finish a superb move down the right from tireless Charles McCall. Tigers kept there nerve for the last few minutes and even had chances to add more before the final whistle and a thoroughly deserved 1-0 victory.A big thank you to Tim and Peter Barter and Callum Brown and a great team effort.
