Match Report(s)
Submitted by Locky
A fluid, quick passing display was the key to this performance and the hard work by Peter Barter on the training ground is starting to show through.
Tigers were strong from the outset and it wasn’t long before Sam Wookey had the first of his hat-trick, thanks to a good build up down the right by Charles McCall. Two more goals followed for Alex Minchell and Conor Dinning and the first half ended 3-0 to the Tigers. Far from being complacent the Tigers came out in a positive frame for the second half and had numerous efforts before Sam Wookey (now being man marked by their adult) added two and Jake High rounded off a good mid-field performance with his first of the season. To their credit Mid-Sussex did not give up throughout the match and Jack Guy had an outstanding game at sweeper with good support from the ever reliable Sam Gill and the much improved Nathan Jenkins. As always many thanks to our umpires Luke Helmer and James Godper.
