We had a good start to the second part of the season with a 3-1 win away against Chi 2's.
With all intentions set on a good team talk, following an advice session from Cirdec, things got off to a slow start when Shelley drove her car with 4 members of the team to Havant.
After a good chat and quick warm up we got going. Things were slow to start, the effects from Christmas showing on our fitness and first touch.
Not long into the first half, Chi 2's took the lead when a high player got loose and received a long hit through.
Just before half time Shelley scored an open play goal bringing the score to 1-1 at half time.
The half time team talk seemed to have an impact. Everyone went out strong into the second half and played some excellent hockey. Everyone linked extremely well and worked well for each other. Before long Toni was awarded a free hit outside the D and took advantage of the new rule by dribbling straight into the D and scoring.
Some great linking passes from back to front and excellent opportunities showed that we were the stronger side. Excellent marking by Heather at the back ensured nothing was getting through. Soon, Gemma scored from open play and gave us the final score of 3-1.
Let's hope we can continue to play with such sleek passing, use of the new rule and switching like we displayed in the 2nd half of the weekends game!

Thanks to Cirdec for his help leading up towards Christmas.
