Ladies 3rd XI Vs Burgess Hill Ladies 4th XI

I was told off today for never getting round to putting our match reports in the circle!  Seeing as we had such a good win I thought I’d better! 

Today’s win is testament to how hard this team have worked this season.  I have seen a huge improvement in our game and most importantly how the team is working together now.  This is a team I enjoy playing in, who have a great attitude and I hope we can keep it this way.

Right from the start of today’s game we had most of the possession.  Our passing is definitely improving, as is our marking, which I felt was a real strength today. 

Our goals came from Karen, Lily, Janice and Erica.  Janice told me, “I have never played up front” I am now thinking maybe she should more!!!

It is hard to pick out individual performances today as the whole team put 100 and 10% into this game.  However I feel that Holly and Karen worked very well together down the right.  Holly was named ‘Princess of the Match’ in a deserved tie with Chelsea who looked strong after coming back from a holiday and an injury! 

I want to thank Mandi for playing two games today!  She will say she didn’t touch the ball so didn’t do much but her advice and constant shouting does help!

I would also like to thank Karen and Elaine for the constant advice and support both on and off the pitch!  We are lucky to have people with their level of experience playing with us.

It is now hard as I feel I am leaving people out but I really would like to thank the whole team for their effort, enthusiasm and support this season and in case I don’t get round to writing again I want to say I feel this team has come a long way and I am looking forward to next season already because I am sure we can go further!
