A competitive and very even first half saw plenty of end-to-end hockey, mostly down the left hand side and chances for both sides. Both keepers made good saves and both teams had opportunities from short corners but the half time score was 0 - 0.

The second half saw a stunning full-length diving stick save from the Brighton keeper, followed by a Brighton attack finally breaking through the Llamas defence and leaving new keeper Georgia, who had an excellent game, with no chance. Further pressure from the llamas couldn't produce what would have been a deserved equaliser and they can take heart from a strong performance. Well done to Gail and a special mention for Ann, first time on pitch for several decades!!!
