Wow, our 1st match of the season & we win 5 -0 with only 2 adults playing!! To be fair, it was the first time Penguins had played in the dev. league & they had some young, new players. However, despite the fact that they played their 3 adults the whole time, we only had 2 & (I) Ann was in goal & didn't touch the ball at all. It was great to see the girls playing so well as a team, passing to each other so quickly & accurately, tackling & putting Penguins under pressure the whole time. Well done to Katherine who had never played in a match before & did so well, has only just started coming to junior. Hockey & was 'ball hungry' like the rest of the team were all the time. Before 1/2 time we had scored 2 goals & then 3 more after! Making it 5-0, best ever. Next match we play Brighton & Hove, which will be much tougher, but hopefully we'll play as positively as this one. Well done everyone.
