Worthing Men’s 4th XI 3 St Francis Men’s 2nd XI 4

In our previous encounter with St Francis 2’s early in the season we had the majority of the game but were always playing catch-up, leaving us vulnerable at the back and we lost 4-2.
At the pre game team talk we vowed not to repeat this and put them under early pressure. We did the opposite! We surrendered a soft goal and again spent the rest of the game trying to catch up. They took their chances well and the score fluctuated between them leading and us drawing level each time but in the end time ran out and we never quite made it. One goal better than the last time but we ended up 3 – 4 down.
Very disappointing. Special mention to Jess’ brother who scored 2 cracking goals. Unfortunately he was playing for the Saints.
