Worthing Mens 5th XI 5 Brighton Men’s 6th XI 4
Worthing travelled to a home friendly in Portslade on a lovely sunny afternoon, Brighton won the toss and opted to swap ends due to the sun, Worthing pushing back (in the friendly way), and looking good with the ball, goals went in for both teams leaving the half time score 2-2. Brighton pushed back hard after the break scoring another 2, leaving us behind, the heat was tiring but Worthing pushed back to score a further 2 goals including one from vice captain Al, a final goal put in by Worthing making the final score 5-4 to Worthing, a good start to the new season, lets hope we continue this. Thanks to the 4th XI players that came to make up numbers after already playing a game in the morning, and also thanks to Dave Parsons for umpiring for us.
