Men's 5th XI Vs Chichester Priory Park Cardinals

Well that makes it 6 out of 6 for the 5^th XI and many people wandering how! Maybe they should have considered some of those bargain buys for their fantasy league team.  How are they doing it, what’s their secret? Well I can reveal it!!!!!

It’s their defence, those 5 stoic regulars that play at the back, Joe, Locky, Mags, Dan & Al and their own little secret………well they concede less then the boys up front score!!!!!…Shimples!!!! And as long as it continues…

We too have our pretty boys up front and we must not take it away from them, they are really looking good, a subtle mélange of youth, exuberance, with age and wise heads and we must be thankful for the likes of Dan Lock who brings a calm head and a willingness to share that which he has gained over the years, and more importantly the rest of us listen!, learn apply and for that we will continue to improve!!

And as for the game Saturday…. well I have trouble remembering yesterday, so as for Saturday, well I shall try.  Well we scored 4 and they scored 2, and it was Aaron who scored all 4, yet there is no ‘I’ in the 5^th XI team and he was ably assisted by all around him, particularly of course that defence that only conceded 2!

Yet again a great all round team performance and particularly again praise to our most junior juniors Joe in goal and Luc up front, both improving every game.  Roll on next week!
