Worthing Men’s 5th XI            5                 Crawley Men’s 4th XI             3

Saturdays match for the 5th was against Crawley. As soon as the match started the goals started coming, with Worthing getting 4 in quick succession scored by Dave Rayner, Aaron Chapman and Jon Humphreys. However Crawley pulled one back just before half time with a well placed shot from a short corner. At the start of the second half Crawley managed to pull back another goal shortly followed by one for Worthing by Dan Lock, who also received a goal disallowed. The final attack from Crawley managed to get them a consolation goal. Final score 5-3.

Captains Additional, due to South Saxons withdrawing from the league and kindly removing results from their games Worthing 5th XI sit top by default, now to beat the three teams that can take that position back, and all the others too, roll on Saturday, a win is a must.
