Worthing Men’s 5^th XI 4 St Francis Men’s 3^rd XI 1

We travelled to Burgess Hill realising that we had to concentrate after a tough game against the 6^th XI last week. We benefited from the fact that St Francis were having their first run out since before Christmas.

We started off well but needed at times to remember how to play our best hockey.

We went into half time 1-1 after taking the lead through Aaron Chapman.

They responded with an exquisite goal chipping Joe who had done as much as he could.

The halftime team talk emphasised more effort would be needed to maintain our undefeated record. This seemed to work with two quick goals in the second half from Jamie & John who made a long run and hit a cracking shot from the top of the D, which found the corner. This was well deserved after some great build up play.

As our confidence grew our hockey got better allowing the opportunity for Luc Hinton to show us all how to do it.
