Worthing 5th XI started poorly in the first half with injuries and illness after the long Christmas break, passes not being linked, attacks being halted, but luckily doing enough to keep the score 0 – 0 at half time. After a team talk, the same old think what we’re doing, simple passing and all that Worthing returned looking to have more shape, after ten minutes scoring 2 in as many minutes followed by a third from a short a few minutes later, now that’s better. We gave away a short corner due to a foot in the D and Worthing 6th XI struck backboard 3 –1.
Worthing 5th XI followed with more flowing play and scored a further 2 goals.
