A good result against a much-strengthened Crawley squad of 15, for our makeshift 11 including senior debuts for the talented Leo French from The Tigers and Marc Hinton from The Wolves.
Along with other juniors Alex Minchell and Ben Harvey they provided our main attacking force.
Captain Nigel Parker arrived in the nick of time to ensure a more experienced back line.
Despite going 2-0 down, we responded from Roger Beaney at a short corner just before half time.A few tactical positional changes for the second half saw us start to dominate and Alex Minchell equalised, before we let Crawley in with a breakaway to respond. However Ben Harvey soon nipped in to equalise again. Thanks to Jamie Stevens for arriving all the way from Manchester to play in goal. And to Vince Thomas our umpire for coming all the way to Crawley to discover they had decided to provide 2 umpires without letting us know!
