A great result against the second placed team in the league. Also, therein, doing a big favour to our 5th X1 who increased their lead at the top.
Despite losing to the opposition away at Eastbourne earlier in the season we had done our homework and effectively marked their twin strikers out of most of the game.
Two first half goals by Roger Beaney saw us 2-1 up at half time. We continued to dominate the second half and further goals from Ben Harvey with the aerial goal of the season and Alex Weddell saw us through as 4-2 winners.
Yet again great displays from Conor Allam in goal, midfielders Jack Guy, Jake High and Marc Hinton who were far too skilful and nippy for the older Eastbourne legs and Ben Harvey up front who constantly harried the opposition and scored the wonder goal.
