After the disappointment of last week it was good to see the Tigers bounce back in a positive way and apart from a slow start this was a very solid performance. The early play was mostly tigers but with two adults at the back it wasn't easy to break through and Chichester were dangerous on the break. The deadlock was finally broken by a strong drive on the left from outside the D by Alex Minchell that got the faintest of deflections by the alert Matthew Issacs. Chichester came straight back and there big forward unleashed an unstoppable shot from left of the D and 1-1. Again the most pleasing aspect of the Tigers play was the way they worked together as a team, brilliantly demonstrated by the manner in which Tom Gurney and Sam Wookey snubbed out the threat of the Chichester forward. Alex Minchell then combined well with Ellis Wooley for a super goal and 2-1 at half time. Team: Sam Gill, Luke Barker, Tom Gurney, Sam Wookey, Alex Minchell (2 Goals), Ellis Wooley (1 Goal), Leo French, Cieran Dinning, Alex Watkins (1 Goal), Dalton Tessier, Rhys Thompson (1 Goal0, Matthew Isaacs (1 Goal0, Bradley House (1 Goal)
The second half was a fine all-round display with goals for Rhys Thompson, Alex Watkins, Ellis Wooley and a second for Alex Minchel. Bradley House had a strong game and brother Josh was in fine form in goal as Chichester pushed for a consolation. Considering no adult playing for the Tigers, a very satisfying day and 6-1 the final score. Thanks to umpire Luke Helmer who was excellent as usual.
