Playing a young Crawley side with only 10 players meant an easier afternoon for the Tigers. Much of the first half was spent in the Crawley half and the welcome return of Rhyce saw him linking well with Ellis and it wasn't long before the goals started coming and 5-0 at half time would seem satisfactory. However as is often the case in these situations, complacency had crept in and a frank discussion with the management at half time left the Tigers in no doubt about the need to return to team, rather than individual play.
A much-improved second half saw many opportunities and only some fine saves from the Crawley keeper stopped further damage being inflicted (oh and Alex Watkins needing more chalk on his cue!!!). A mention for Luke Barker and Cieran Dinning who have matured in the last couple of games, and the rapidly improving and now even vocal Josh House who only had to make 2 saves, both of them excellent. Another plus was the cameo roll of Josh’s brother Bradley who guested for us and scored a goal. Many thanks as always to umpire Luke Helmer.
Team: Josh House, Tom Gurney, Sam Gill, Luke Barker, Sam Wookey, Ellis Woolley (2 Goals), Alex Minchell (1 Goal), Rhyce Thompson (1 Goal), Leo French (3 Goals), Cieran Dinning (1 Goal), Alex Watkins (3 Goals)
