This was always going to be a tough one and with a couple of players missing it was a physically demanding game. The first half saw opportunities for both sides with a well drilled Horsham mid-field causing plenty of problems for the Tigers defence, only fine work from Sam Gill, Sam Wookey, Josh House and Leo French kept them at bay. The move that brought the goal was a good inter-play between Ellis Woolley and Sam Gill, who put through a superb ball for Alex Minchell to thunder into the back of the net.
1-0 at half time but a game that could go either way. To be fair the Tigers hit the post twice and had opportunities that were squandered, more by the pressure of the pace of the game than anything else, before half way through the second half Horsham started to take control and quickly went 2-1 up. As they have all season the Tigers gave it their all and in pushing for an equaliser they lost their discipline, left themselves open at the back and a one on one with josh that he had little chance with and a final score line 3-1. A disappointment in the end but a quality game of hockey. Big thanks to Peter Barter and James Cook.
