Tom Gill kindly agreed to do the keeping honours for Tigers this week, which was much appreciated as Josh House laid low with dreaded flu.

With no outfield adult the Tigers are having different challenges to deal with and all things considered this was a competent performance. Tom Gurney has slipped into the central defence roll and Sam Wookey is maturing at sweeper. The early exchanges were mostly from the Tigers but an unusual lack of finishing saw opportunities go astray. With the St Francis adult alert to the threat from Ellis down the right the ball was moved more to the left and Alex Minchel worked the ball superbly. Alex Watkins took on board some positional advice and gradually the Tigers took control. Rhys Thompson is giving us a more physical option up front and is improving rapidly with every game, thoroughly deserving his two goals. Alex Watkins grabbed one and Alex Minchel another with Sam Wookey also getting his name on the score sheet. Matt Issacs had an outstanding game and although moved into several positions throughout the game, coped superbly. The ever-dependable Sam Gill put in a lot of hard work and 5-0 was a fair result, with plenty for Peter Barter to focus on at training. Thanks as always to our umpire Luke Helmer.
