The last game of the season saw Wolves pushback against Crawley.  Wolves had lost 3 of its most experienced players to the Tigers and 6^th XI but even with this loss Wolves managed to hold their own thanks to the help of Greg Middleton in midfield, Declan Luke in Defence and during the second half Luc Hinton in midfield.  Crawley turned up late with a really mixed aged squad.  Wolves produced some good play with accurate passing but lacked the depth to break through Crawley’s defence.  Callum Rudrum was in the thick of play on the wing and Jack and Wesley were kept busy in defence.  Some defence errors saw 2 balls go past Travis who through the game made some superb saves. 

Half time and Wolves were 2 – 0 down.  A quick talk during the break saw Wolves pushing back with renewed energies for the second half.  The game was fast with Crawley’s tall and fast forwards attacking the goal.  Travis kept the balls at bay.  Oli had some good play but could not find the back of the goal. Gareth pushing forward in an attempt at goal got denied.  Daniel not quite able to finish either.  Josh having taken over in defence from Jack denied Crawley. Connor, on the wing, had a worked himself into some good positions but was unfortunate not to score.  Luc Hinton directed the forwards as well as the midfield well but unfortunately unable to score.

Well done lads you finished off the season with some fantastic hockey.  It has been a joy to manage you.  Keep up the team spirit and you will go a long way.  I shall miss you all but promise to come and watch you play!  Thank you also for the lovely flowers and card.  Good luck for next season!
