Worthing Wolves 0

E. Grinstead Badgers            8

Saturday saw Wolves pushing back against Badgers.  Wolves had a large squad.  During the 1st half Wolves had most of the play and Badgers were under pressure.  Passes were played very well and players running into space.  With Luc Hinton up front Wolves were certain to put the ball past the keeper.  Early on a good run was made but Luc put the ball wide.  On the break Badgers made a superb run through the middle with accurate passing.  A mix up in defence saw the ball go past our keeper.  Again Wolves took possession and played the ball through to the final 25 and keeping the ball in Badger’s half constantly looking for a way through to goal.  The team working for each other Marc had a run forward, passed but again luck failed us and the ball was pushed wide.  Badgers seem to be strong on the counter attack leaving Wolves’ midfield stranded.  Travis denied Badgers a greater goal total.  Wolves earned a few short corners but were very unlucky not to convert these.  First half ended 0 – 4.

During the second half again Wolves had most of the play and deserved at least a couple of goals.  Good play was produced and the work rate was very high.  Marc had several chances but keenness to score saw the work go to waste.  Again Travis made some heroic saves.  Final score 0-8. Well played to all.  One day we will win a match!
