Our vision is to provide an inclusive and fun environment where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy hockey.
Our goal is to be a leading club in Sussex for player development, both on and off the pitch. This includes attracting young talent from all schools in the area and building a sustainable programme of development for the future of our community
❖ The club has a rich heritage of success in county, regional and national competitions
❖ Membership is drawn from Greater Worthing / West Sussex , now totalling more than 250 active members
❖ Currently running 14 Adult, Junior, Development and Masters Teams playing in Sussex/Kent league and cup matches
❖ Junior, male, female, mixed and veteran masters teams
❖ The club has strong links and affiliations with local schools and an inclusive hockey program
Junior development:
❖ By the end of 2020/21 season WHC Junior section has more than 85 Junior members.
❖ Comets Under 12s – boys and girls, training on a sunday and playing in local tournaments
❖ The girls Llamas (U14 & U16) squad is competing in the Sussex development league
❖ The boys Wolves (U14 & U16) squad is competitive in the Sussex development league
Senior development:
❖ By the end of 2020/21 season WHC has 6 men’s, 2 ladies and 2 Vets/mixed teams
❖ Membership numbers have grown by over 20% in the 2020/21 season to 170 adult members
