WHC Under 12s Shine at Sussex Hockey Ron Easton Tournament

Both of our WHC under 12 teams shone brightly at the Sussex Hockey Ron Easton tournament in November, taking 3rd and 1st places in the girls and boys competitions respectively.

The girls team achieved a great set of results with three wins, two draws and a loss. Coach Matt Sephton proudly commented: “Awesome performance from each and every player, never gave up, tackled hard, scored some fantastic goals and fantastic team work!”

The WHC boys team were unbeaten with four wins and four clean sheets to win the tournament. The day started with a 2-0 win over Chichester, followed by victories against Mid Sussex and St.Francis, before ending with a tense 1-0 win over Brighton to secure 1st place in the tournament. Coach David Neale said: “We are all so proud of the team today. We had a squad of 9 players and everyone played their part with high levels of skill and teamwork – and most importantly all done with a smile and great team spirit.”

We are so proud of all of the under 12 players. Congratulations, the future of the club is in safe hands.
