Worthing Hockey Club continues to support club charity

After being unable to hold their annual charity golf day this summer, Worthing Hockey Club members remained positive and determined to still raise funds for their chosen club charity.

The club raised the amazing amount of £1124.50 which was presented to St.Barnabas House in September. These much-needed funds were received by Mary Bye from St.Barnabas House at the club’s Angmering School base. Nothing was going to beat the WHC family from fundraising and remembering their dear friend Andie Chambers.

After the popular annual golf fundraising event was twice rescheduled due to the Coronavirus Government guidelines, all fundraising efforts were turned to the clubhouse for the renamed event Andie’s Family Day. Members gathered for some social-distanced hockey fun with their families and to celebrate the journey back to hockey.

Andie was for many years in succession the Ladies 1st team top scorer and a much loved club member. All funds on the day were raised for St.Barnabas House who took great care of Andie and supported her family.
